2025 UTRECHT SUMMER SCHOOL ON 3D PRINTING & BIOFABRICATION

19-07-2025

This July, the Utrecht Summer School on 3D Printing and Biofabrication welcomed students and researchers from 26 countries for an intensive week of lectures, lab work, and international exchange.

Hosted at the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht (RMCU) and the School of Applied Sciences, the course offered a rich introduction to the fundamentals of biofabrication — from AI in bioprinting to organ-scale printing, multiphoton lithography, and tissue engineering applications.

The week kicked off with inspiring keynotes by Andrew Daly, Aleksandr Ovsianikov, and Mark Skylar-Scott, followed by hands-on bioprinting workshops and interactive sessions with faculty from the International Society for Biofabrication.

Over four packed days, participants engaged in deep scientific discussions, built new skills in biofabrication labs, and expanded their networks across disciplines and continents.

We thank all students and speakers for their energy, curiosity, and contributions — and look forward to welcoming a new cohort in 2026!
