NOAM DEMRI RECEIVES MDR YOUNG TALENT INCENTIVE 2026

08-07-2026

Congratulations to Noam Demri, postdoctoral researcher at the Malda Lab, on receiving a 2026 MDR Young Talent Incentive from the Materials-Driven Regeneration (MDR) Gravitation Program.

The MDR Young Talent Incentives support promising early-career researchers in developing innovative, collaborative projects that bring new expertise and methodologies to the MDR consortium.

Noam was selected for his project CarEMES (Cartilage Electro-Magnetic Engineering and Stimulation), which explores the use of electromagnetic actuation to steer and investigate tissue organization and mechanics. The project builds on an exchange and collaboration with Prof. Simone Schürle from ETH Zurich.

At the Malda Lab, Noam focuses on applying microfabrication and tissue engineering approaches to study how structural and mechanical cues influence cartilage formation and maturation. His research aims to develop physiologically relevant in vitro cartilage models, contributing to the advancement of regenerative medicine.

We congratulate Noam on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to following the progress of the CarEMES project.
